Honoring the stone, change it with love, bringing forth its soul and beauty. Being in harmony with everything and creating new forms in dialogue with the stone. Assisting to giving birth to its very own being, this inner beauty, that had been inside ever since the beginning. It honors me back with its wisdom and its radiant colours that are only visible after a long working process. In recognition of my love and attention during our creative process.
For me, working on the stone also means actively creating a new world that becomes more beautiful through my hands. A chunk of raw stone material changes into a luminous sculpture with wise words. When we honor the earth, love it, and create beauty in harmony with it, we are both creators and recipients of a more beautiful world. Outside and inside.
